|  Michael Cooper was born in Richmond, CA. Cooper earned his M.F.A. at UC Berkeley. He taught at UC in 1969, Foothill College in 1969-76, De Anza College 1977-2004, and currently teaches in San Francisco at California College of Art. When not teaching, he works in fiberglass to produce kinetic sculpture.
