The following is from Kree Kree Snyder:

What little I have been able to come up with shows that she was a long-time student and life member of the Art Student's League of New York. In fact, their
records show that she began as a student there in 1911 and continued to
be a student there as recently as 1970. Those records show her as
deceased in 12/76. This differs significantly from your birth/death dates for her.

The ASLNY also told me that Nessa Cohen is mentioned in The Dictionary
of Women Artists by Chris Petteys as well as the Dictionary of American
Painters, Sculptors and Engravers from Mantle Fielding.

There is a "Nessa Cohen Memorial Fund Award" given by the ASLNY each
year and there was a Nessa Cohen Show at the Lincoln Center, but I'm
not sure of the year. (90's)
