| Nora G. Cashin was born in San Francisco, CA in 1871 of Irish parents. Cashin was artistically inclined at an early age. She was active in the local art scene by 1892 and studied at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute. A spinster and lifelong resident of her native city, she had a studio in her home at 3247 Jackson Street until her death on May 18, 1922.
