Although Russian artist, Paraskeva Clark is well known for her
depictions of social and political issues, she created portraits,
still-life, and landscape pieces such as Pink Cloud from 1937.
Clark was born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1898. Before moving
to France in 1923, she studied under Savely Seidenberg, a painter of
landscapes, followed by Vasily Shukhayev and Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin.
In 1931 she married a Canadian, Philip Clark, and moved (showing 500 of 932 characters). |
