| From Australia, Paul Ching-Bor emigrated to New York City in the late 1990s. He is a painter in watercolor of pure abstraction and of abstract hazy city views such as cars parked on streets. His goal is to create images that are haunting and provacative. As a teacher at the Art Students League, he encourages his students to take another look at watercolor and to build images with rich dark colors heavily applied with multiple layers and then coated with glaze.
