The following was submitted in June of 2006 by Terry Carpenter:
Ray Carpenter studied with Daniel Greene, Donald 'Putt' Putman, and Howard Turpning. He studied landscape painting and portraiture at the Scottsdale Art School and later at the California College of Arts and Crafts. He also studied with California artists Gary Carter, Joe Beeler and Roy Anderson.
