Laguna Beach artist Rebecca Calhoun works within the tradition of figure drawing. Born into a family of missionary parents who returned to Asia when she was three months of age, Calhoun grew up traveling between the countries of Thailand and Malaysia. She returned to the U.S. to continue her education at Texas Woman's University where she graduated in painting and drawing with honors.
Over the past twelve years she has been exhibiting her work throughout the U.S. and has taught courses in painting and drawing. Currently she teaches oil painting at her studio located on Laguna Canyon Road.
