Painter and writer Regina Tatum Cooke was born on August 22, 1902 in Corsicana, Texas. As a young woman she studied art at Ward-Belmont Junior College in Nashville, Tennessee. She also studied for two years at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas with Birger Sandzen. In 1925 she earned a bachelors degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
In 1925 Regina married Bronson Frey Cooke in Denver, Colorado. The marriage ended in 1930, and the artist returned home until 1933 whe (showing 500 of 2289 characters). |
