The following information was submitted in September of 2006 by the artist: Mr. Case received a BFA and MFA from Boston University in 1967-68. His work was influenced by well known artists, Walter Murch and Robert Gwathmey. He has taught at Phillips Exeter Academy, Boston University and Norfolk State College. His paintings were described by Robert Metzger as "a series of large still-life paintings which extended the imagery of Giogrio Morandi". Metzger, in referring to Case's collages, indicates they contain references to surrealist master's Rene Magritte and Joseph Cornell. Ronald Kuchta writes: "Reginald Case has literally cut out a special place for his surrealist sensibilities".
His work has been shown extensively in various NYC galleries and Museums throughout the US.
