Robert Franz Curry, American artist born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1872. He was a painter of large landscapes, especially mountain scenes in winter, plus animals and portraits. Curry studied at Harvard Law School and then chose to be an artist instead.
Pursuing his career in painting, he traveled to Europe in 1931, where he studied in Munich with H. Knirr, Carl Marr, Alexander Liezen-Mayer and L.V. Lofftz.
Curry generally signed his works "R F Curry".
