Biography from AskART:
| Roni Cummings was born in New York City. Cummings specialized in landscapes and seascapes done in watercolor, oils, and mixed media.
She studied at the Parsons New York School of Fine and Applied Arts. She also studied in France at the Grand Chamiere in Paris, as well as the Paris branch of the Parsons School.
Cummings exhibited widely.including: The Art Students League in New York, Whitney Museum of American Art, the Crocker Museum in Sacramento, the Pacific Grove Art Center. She was a member of the National Art Association in New York, Ten Art Club in Sacramento, Palo Alto Art Club, Monterey Peninsula Watercolor Society, Central Coast Art Association, Pacific Grove Art Center, and the Monterey Peninsula Museum of Art.
In addition to her art endeavors, Cummings owned and operated her own Advertising Agency in San Francisco, was the Art Department Head for the Hughes and Bartell Agency in New York, Technical Director of the Circle Theatre in Carmel, California, and played the violin for the Monterey County Symphony Orchestra.
She lived and painted on the Monterey Peninsula for many years. For a period of time she maintained a studio at the Pacific Grove Art Center in Pacific Grove, California. She exhibited widely on the Monterey Peninsula and was an award winner in many venues in which she exhibited her works. Watercolor was her preferred media for painting.
