The following, submitted July 2004, is from the granddaughter of the artist:
A painter, sculptor, jewelry maker, quilter, drawing master and woodcut block artist, Ruth Ann Christmann-Wickens was multi faceted. On enamel jewelry she painted landscapes and portraits, and scenes described as "real-life moments". She also did many drawings in charcoal and ink.
My most favorite memory of all time of my Granny Wickens is about her cooking, which was also a work of art, in particular, he (showing 500 of 3254 characters). |
