Sophia Corwin’s artwork spanned major 20th Century art movements - from Cubism to Abstract Expressionism to Minimalism with a return to Figurative Abstraction in the later part of her career. She was born in New York City and studied at the Art Students League with Yasuo Kuniyoshi, Karl Knaths, and Hans Hoffman, and received an M.A. in Fine Arts from New York University.
