Ted Coconis was awarded a scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago during his grade school years, but instead of working toward academic success, he abandoned his formal education and headed off to experience grand adventures: first as a pilot in the Air Force and then as a seaman in the Merchant Marines. By the age of 20, he committed himself to his true calling and began work as an artist—starting in Chicago and ending (showing 500 of 2341 characters). |
