| Painter, muralist. Born in Port Huron, Ml on Nov. 4, 1909. By the late 1920s Comfort had settled in Los Angeles where he a was a pupil of Walter B. Currier and Leo Katz. During the Depression he was active in Los Angeles on the Federal Art Project. He died there on Aug. 23, 1939.
