Valleau Caruthers is an oil painter who paints in the realist tradition endeavoring to portray the movement of light. To learn this technique, she has studied with internationally renowned artists, principally David Leffel, who paints in the style of the 17th Century Dutch School. She also has studied with portraiture artist Daniel Greene, and flower painter Joyce Pike, and with other master painters whose specialties she wanted to learn.
