Virginia (Wealthy) Chandler Titcomb, had an A.M. in Sculpture (bas-relief) and was a painter and writer. She was born at Otterville, IL on December 5, 1838 and was the daughter of Hiram and Juliana (Humiston) Chandler. She was married to John Abbot Titcomb.
Mrs. Titcomb exhibited at the National Academy of Design (N.Y.). and was a contributor to Harper's Bazar, Demorests, Brooklyn Eagle and other magazines.
She founded (1884) and was president of the Patriotic League (showing 500 of 1196 characters). |
