| William B. Cook was born in Ohio in October 1863. Cook appears to have arrived in California as an infant. He lived in Willows and Grass Valley (1866-89), Colusa (1895-97) and Monterey (1916). His painting locales included Sausalito, Monterey Peninsula, Humboldt and Nevada counties.
