| | Born in Wichita, KS on July 18, 1902. During the 1920s and 1930s Cox had a commercial art business in San Francisco with Maurice Logan while living across the Golden Gate in Tiburon. He exhibited locally with a group called The 13 Watercolorists. Although based in California, he was active in Seattle as a member of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters. Cox died at Marin (CA) General Hospital on Dec. 18, 1974. Member: SF Illustrators' Club; Bohemian Club. Exh: Oakland Art Gallery, 1937.
