| Born in Chicago, Illinois and studied at the Art Institute there. In 1906, he was listed in the Encyclopedia of Art. French government awarded him medals for painting, while he had gone there to paint. Has also worked in the Art Department of the Chicago Tribune in early days. Well known for his Western paintings.
