This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Winifred Barbara Concannon (Schremp) (b.1886-d. 1933)

She died February 24, 1933, of a lung disorder.  Winifred was born in Los Angeles in 1886 just two years after her Father decided to leave Europe with Mary and toddler Mary (known as Maime to Winifred).   She was the adored daughter of Mary and Michael Joseph Concannon who wait for her in heaven with her little sister Katherine (Katie) and brother Michael.  She was the beloved wife of Jacob J. Schremp, though only married for 4 years, her illness prevented her from having children that she adored.  She loving sister of Agnes, John, Mary, James and William Matthew (my grandfather) and Mrs. Marguerite Killion.

She will always be most famous to the people of the entertainment community who received at the hands of Twentieth Century Fox, her most prized watercolored invitations to such gala affairs as the Academy Awards, and gala parties and soirees held at Pickfair, home of Douglas Fairbanks jr., and Mary Pickford.  May her memory live on as people continue to enjoy her love of flowers, butterflies and pictures of women of the 1890s and 1900s.  1886.  Winifred worked as an artist in Los Angeles from 1917 until her marriage to Jacob Schremp in 1928.  She died in San Bernardino, CA on Feb. 23, 1933.

Her father's dream was to move to America and become the owner of oil wells.  While working on the railroad in Los Angeles, he acquired several very prosperous oil wells in the Beverly Hills area and the family lived in a lovely home in Pasadena.  Winifred's brother John, took to drinking and lost all the wells in a poker game.  All members of the family began to go to work to bring home money to keep the family going.  Even 7 year old Willie was a delivery boy for a Drug Store.  She will always be most famous to her family for being creative and pulling the family out of dire straights when she began to sell her art work in Los Angeles and became the darling of the studios.  She is missed.  She was laid to rest in Forest Lawn in Los Angeles on February 24, 1933.
