| The following, submitted July 2005, is from Liz Farrell, great-great niece of the artist.
Educated at the Brooklyn Training School, Agnes Balassi worked as an art teacher in the New York City public school system for nearly 50 years while also teaching art privately.
She was married to Frank Davis and sometimes signed herpaintings"A. B. Davis," but, unlike the better-known artist of that name, her work was entirely figural. |
