| Aubre Duncan uses watercolor to create contemporary art. Duncan received a B.S. degree in Art Education and a M.A. in Fiber Arts and was a teacher in high schools and colleges in New England for 12 years.
Currently, (2004) she and her family reside in Delaware, where she specializes in watercolor painting.
Juried exhibitions include the Baltimore Watercolor Society's Mid-Atlantic Annual, the Philadelphia Watercolor Club, the Audubon Artists Annual, The Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Annual and the Adirondack Exhibition of Watercolors.
Four times, Duncan has been named "Artist of the Month" by the Manchester Art Association of New Hampshire. In addition, she received the "Gallery Prize" from the Gallery of Fells Point, Baltimore, Maryland, and "First Prize" for watercolor at Historic Cold Springs Summer Art Festival, as well as "First Prize" at the annual juried show at the Markeim Art Gallery in New Jersey. |
