Bob Dale was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1927 and grew up in Brownsville, Texas. He began drawing from the time he could hold a pencil and hasn't stopped since. He entered the United States Navy in 1943 and served on the USS Boston until 1945 when he returned home to San Antonio.
After the war was over, Dale attended GI Art School for four years where he excelled in all forms of media. Before he had even graduated, Dale was hired as the editorial cartoonist at the San Antonio (showing 500 of 1997 characters). |
