| | Born in Michigan on Nov. 10, 1889. Dobbins was a long-time resident of Los Angeles. She studied there for four years at Chouinard and Otis Art Institutes, four years in Norfolk, and five years at the ASL of NYC under George Bridgman and Frank Vincent DuMond. She was mysterious and secretive about her works and seldom sold any of them. Her paintings are rarely seen.
