| A landscape painter and signature member of the New York Plein-Air Painters, Daisy de Puthod was an award winner with her painting "Housatonic Falls" at the 2004 Housatonic River Reflections Exhibition of the Sheffield Art League in Hopewell Junction, New York.
Puthod was born in Paris, France and immigrated to Colorado where she graduated from the Colorado Institute of Art. She then worked as a commercial artist, doing illustrations for ad agencies and publishing houses in watercolor and pastel.
In 1988, moved to the Hudson River Valley, where she developed her mature painting style of landscapes and studio figures and became active in the New York Plein Air Painters Society and The American Impressionist Society.
