Born on June 13, 1901 in Bellingham, WA. By 1923 Daisy Hanson had moved to southern California. Entering the Chouinard School of Art, she studied there under Stanton MacDonald-Wright and F. In 1928 she married and became an art teacher of children's classes at the Santa Barbara School of Fine Arts where she further studied with Frank M. Fletcher. She and Ross later lived in La Crescenta and for many years in La Jolla; her last two years were spent in San Juan Capistrano where she died on Dec. 13, 1988.
