| | Dan Richard Dascallos (1916-1971)
Painter, illustrator. Born in Canada on Aug. 4, 1916. Dan was the son of artist Dora Dascallos. He joined his mother in Oakland in 1937 and enrolled at the California College of Arts & Crafts. He soon married artist Emily George and for many years was an illustrator for the U.S. Government.
