A painter and art teacher born in Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Diane Duvigneaud was active in Illinois where she attended the American Academy and the Art Institute in Chicago and Northwestern University at Evanston. She also studied in 1945 with Hans Hoffman at his school in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
Teaching positions were the James Lee Academy of Art in Memphis, Tennessee, and North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.
