| Born on May 23, 1887 in Waterbury, CT. Davis studied at the Boston Museum School. By the turn of the century she had moved to San Francisco where she further studied at the Mark Hopkins Institute (1905-06), UC Berkeley, and received a B.A. degree at the CCAC. About 1916 she began teaching in the public schools in the San Francisco Bay area and then for 26 years she was head of the art department at College of San Mateo. Upon retirement in the mid-1950s, she settled on the Monterey Peninsula. (showing 500 of 765 characters). |
