This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Earl I. Daniels, California painter of landscapes, seascapes, coastal scenes and still- lives, was born in New York City where he worked both as a commercial artist and jazz musician.
In the early 1940's he settled in Laguna Beach, California. It was here that he was very active as a painter of landscapes and seascapes. He spent many years teaching and lecturing the surrounding art community. He was a well known, and respected member of the Laguna Beach art community. Daniels' works have been exhibited nationally, and throughout California. In 1963 the late President Kennedy and Mrs. Kennedy commissioned him to paint a piece for their personal collection. When he retired he moved to Hawaii where he died in 1999. Submitted by Gary Stanley, San Diego, CA
