| | Born in San Francisco, CA on May 13, 1906. During the 1920s and 1930s DeFerrari worked in San Francisco as a commercial artist and as a cartoonist for the Chronicle. About 1940 he abandoned his art career and for 25 years was a salesman for the Resilite Corporation.
