| | Born in Pennsylvania in 1849. Before moving to California, Mrs. Deardorff was active in Oregon; the paintings she brought with her were of the Columbia River and Mt Hood. In 1887 she established an art school in Fresno, CA and was based there for about ten years or more. While there she acted as judge of the fine arts section of the Fresno Fair.
