| | Born on April 27, 1896 in San Francisco, CA. Daniels entered the San Francisco Art Institute at age 14 for four years of study. While at that school she was greatly influenced by her teachers Alice Chittenden and Frank Van Sloun, and won several prizes and a life scholarship for her portrait and figure work. Upon graduation from Lowell High School, she attended UC Berkeley, the Rudolph Schaeffer School of Design, and earned a B.A. degree from Fresno State College in 1944. During 1920-71 she taught art in San Francisco and Fresno schools. From 1932 until the late 1940s she did little painting and then signed her paintings with her married name, Baldwin. Primarily a portrait painter, she also painted florals, murals, figure studies, and animals. Mrs. Baldwin died in Oakland on Jan. 31, 1981. Member: Fresno Art League; Fresno Arts Center; Calif.
