The following, submitted April 2005, is from Guy D Sbar, MD, whose source is Andy De Cusati, nephew of the artist.
Emiddio De Cusati was born in Amalfi, Italy. The family is unsure of his birth year. He came to the United States in 1905 and studied with Eugene Francis Savage at Yale School of Art and received his certificate in 1930. He was on the staff of the Yale School of Art from 1934 until 1964.
The artist did landscapes, portraits and scenes from operas. In fact he did a (showing 500 of 1016 characters). |
