| Fanny Granger Dow was a pastel and watercolor painter of still life and pastoral scenes. She was born in 1872 in Chelsea, Massachusetts with the name of Fanny Mary Granger-Lugrin, but at age 8 lost was adopted by the Dow family when her mother died.
Dow studied under William Merritt Chase in New York City as well as F. Luis Mora, Carroll Beckwith and Frank Vincent DuMond.
She died in New York City in 1950.
