Francoise Deberdt has been drawing since the early age of seven. She began her formal training at age fourteen at l'Ecole des Arts
Appliques de Paris followed by L'Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux
Arts. In 1957, she had her first exposition in Paris. In 1960 she and
her husband, an architect, moved to Rome spending four years at the
Villa Medicis where her work continued to evolve. Over many years
Deberdt works have exhibited worldwide in Europe - France, England,
Germany, Finland, Holland, Norway, Switzerland, Bruxelles, Belgique;
Australia; Japan; and USA. She has been been the recipient of numerous
awards and a books have been published on her works.
DEBERDT paints primarily using water-color/gouache on unique textured
paper rendering wonderful whimsical scenes from everyday life. She
paints a variety of subjects from cityscapes to jungle scenes to Noah's
