| Georganne Deen was born in Fort Worth, Texas. Deen graduated from East Texas State University in 1974. Since 1983 she has lived in Los Angeles and has taught at UCLA, Otis Art Institute, California College of Arts and Crafts (Oakland), and School of Visual Arts (New York).
