| | Born in Shickley, NE on May 31, 1897. DeBeeson was raised on a farm where he and his brother built one of the first airplanes. A renaissance man and self-taught artist, he was also an inventor, aviator, and violin maker. Later in life, he was an animator for Disney, Walter Lanz, and Universal Studios.
