| | Born in Hilversum, Holland on Jan. 15, 1912. Daum immigrated to the U.S. in 1923 and settled in San Francisco. She attended the CSFA (1931-33) where she studied sculpture under Stackpole and fresco painting under Boynton. After assisting Suzanne Scheuer in painting a mural in Coit Tower in 1934, she was comissioned by the WPA to paint a mural at San Francisco State Teachers College. Following her marriage to photographer Peter Stackpole in 1937, she settled into a hillside home in Oakland. A fire storm destroyed the home and all its contents in 1991. The couple then moved to Novato, CA where she remained until her death on Oct 20, 1993. Her work includes landscapes and still lifes. Exh: Oakland Art Gallery, 1932. | Source:
