| Born in Hilversum, Holland on Jan. 15, 1912. Daum immigrated to the U.S. in 1923 and settled in San Francisco. She attended the CSFA (1931-33) where she studied sculpture under Stackpole and fresco painting under Boynton. After assisting Suzanne Scheuer in painting a mural in Coit Tower in 1934, she was comissioned by the WPA to paint a mural at San Francisco State Teachers College. Following her marriage to photographer Peter Stackpole in 1937, she settled into a hillside home in Oakland. (showing 500 of 775 characters). |
