| | Born in Budapest, Hungary on April 6, 1894. Baroness DeBarkoff studied at the Budapest and Vienna Art Academies, and in Paris at Ecole Municipal. Formerly a professor of fine arts at Andhra Research University in India, by the 1930s she had immigrated to California. After a few years in San Francisco, she settled in Los Angeles where she remained until her death on Sept. 15, 1979. | Source:
