A painter, muralist and drawing specialist in realist, classical styles, James Daniel lives in North Carolina where he had a seven-year apprenticeship with Ben Long, who had been a student of the Italian artist Pietro Annigoni. Daniel also studied with other classically trained artists including Jeffrey Mims, Paul Ingbretson, Charles Cecil and Romano Stefanelli.
To begin a painting, Daniel does preliminary drawing, first using a calligraphy marker on slick paper to do quick sketching and (showing 500 of 1320 characters). |
