Portrait and landscape painter, muralist and teacher Jessie Fremont
Snow Davis (Mrs. Clifford J. Davis), 1887-1969, was born near
Georgetown, Texas. She moved to Dallas, studying there with
well-known Texas art figures Frank Klepper, Frank Reaugh, John Francis
Knott and Martha Simkins. She assisted Reaugh for many years in
his classes, and traveled, in 1923 and 1924, to West Texas and Colorado
in Reaugh's summer sketching trips.
Moving to New York, she
studied with Dim (showing 500 of 2274 characters). |
