In 1986 Duesberry, who earned a BA and MA in art history, was given a NEA Grant in Painting. Since then she has won numerous awards, including the Benjamin Altman Prize for Landscape Painting at the National Academy's 173rd Annual Exhibition, New York. Her work is in many private, corporate and museum collections. Her book, "A Covenant of Seasons," a collection of Duesberry's monotypes with poems by Pattiann Rogers, was recently published.
