This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Studied at the State Teachers College in Superior, WI and the Univ. of Iowa. Earned a MA from the Univ. of Chicago and a PhD from Ohio State Univ.  Taught art at Emporia State Univ. in 1935, at Iowa State Teachers College from 1939-45, at Western Univ. in Silver City, NM from 1945-46, at New Mexico Highlands Univ. in Las Vegas from 1946-53.  Worked as arts and crafts specialist for the International Co-Operation Administration in Ethiopia from 1953-56. Was a professor of art at Montana College of Education in Billings from 1957.

Member: Western Art Assoc. Exhibitions: Pittsburgh Arts & Crafts Center. 1942; Cedar Falls Art Assoc., 1940-45; Iowa State Fair, 1942; Museum of New Mexico, 1946.
