| Born in Hawthorne, NV on May 12, 1888. Lemos was raised and spent his early life in Oakland. He studied at the San Francisco Institute of Art. In 1931 he and his wife Miriam settled in Palo Alto where he remained. He taught art at Palo Alto High School and for many years commuted to Oakland where he and Miriam headed the art department at the Latham Foundation. The brother of artists Frank and Pedro Lemos, he died in Menlo Park, CA on July 13, 1963.
