Modernist painter and muralist, Barbara Stevenson used the pseudonym of Judith Deim and has had an active career based in California while wandering many parts of the world.
She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 11, 1911 and studied at the St. Louis School of Fine Art on a scholarship, graduating in the middle of the Depression.
