| | Born in Arnprior, Ontario, Canada in 1906. Drysdale went to NYC in 1934 to study at the NAD and ASL. He then continued at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles where he won the faculty award. For a few years he had a gallery in Van Nuys and was active with the Laguna Beach Art Ass'n. By 1947 he had returned to Ottawa where he was founder and first president of the Ottawa Art Ass'n.
