This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Berkeley, CA on Aug. 1, 1911. After graduating from UC Berkeley, Dixon studied privately with Millard Sheets and George Post. In 1934 she married Madison Devlin. During the 1930s she worked on murals as an apprentice to Maynard Dixon and Ray Boynton. Later she taught at San Francisco City College (1950s) and UC. Mrs. Devlin died at her home in Kentfield, CA on July 1, 1996. Member: SWA; SFAA; Marin Society of Artists (pres. 1970); Foundation of Western Artists. Exh: Oakland Art Gallery, 1937; Santa Cruz Art League, 1938; Kingsley Art Club (Sacramento), 1962.
