| | Born in California on May 8, 1893. A veteran of WWI, by the 1920s DeLisle had settled in San Anselmo, CA and was the Marin County auditor. In his leisure he roamed the local hillsides on painting expeditions and was a cofounder of the Marin Society of Artists in 1927. He died there on Dec. 13, 1962. | Source:
